Short summary of the history

Jeremy, Mathematician, and Gail Bremen, married since many years, share the same gift: they are able to read in the thoughts of people, any thought, even more the close friend, on a broad zone around them.

However they rather regard this gift as a Malédiction, and lasting of the years mutually helped themselves to close their spirit.

But Gail dies of a Cancer. Jeremy, feeling to approach the time when it will not have any more assistance to be closed with the horrors of the world, engages in a long voyage, fleeing the thoughts of its similar.
