The lament of the partisan

the lament of the partisan is a Chanson written with London in 1943 by Emmanuel d' Astier of Vigerie - called “Bernard” in the army of the shades - and Anna Marly for the Musique. It became a popular song in the Années 1950.
It is from now on less known than the almost homonymous Chant of the Partisans of Kessel and Druon, which became the official anthem of the French Résistance, of the same type-setter.
She was interpreted by the Compagnons of the Song, Leni Escudero, Mouloudji, Marc Ogeret, Anna Prucnal, Joan Baez…
The Lament of the Partisan knew finally the second youth when it was taken again under its english language version Song Of The French Partisan in 1969 by Leonard Cohen in its 2nd album Song from has room . The version of Leonard Cohen was taken again by the group 16 Horsepower with Bertrand Cantat (singer of Noir Desire) under the title The Partisan .
