The iron Mouth
the iron Mouth is a Parisian newspaper published between October 1790 and July 1791. Published by Nicolas of Bonneville and supervised by Claude Fauchet, the Mouth of iron is the body of the social Cercle of which it reproduces three times per week, then daily starting from the June 22nd 1791, the deliberations.

One finds there also comments on the social Contract of Jean-Jacques Rousseau by Claude Fauchet, of the speeches of Condorcet, the petitions of the Club of Cordeliers.This publication starts to appear in October 1790 and disappears the July 28th 1791. The subscription is of 36 pounds per annum and is related to the membership of the social Circle. Whoever is subscribed is automatically member of the social Circle, which makes it possible to inflate manpower regarding as members of simple subscribers.
The title comes from a letter box assigning the shape of a mouth of lion, installed to the seat of the circle, 4, rue du Théâtre-Français to deposit its proposals or its denunciations.
