Work
Under title of the work the key gives to include/understand what the expression Hatha yoga contains, it is about a thousand-year-old science, which found principles making it possible the individual to morally live better, and physically: “ it is a method, at the same time traditional, rational and experimental, which regulates the economy and the use of the forces the man has, consciously with unconsciously, since its birth until its death. ”. The goal being “ harmonious union of our physiological functions and the bodies which correspond to it ”. This work thus exposes the councils and methods that point to reach, and that in the Western context, without falling into the stereotyped sectarianism which is spread, alas, today. Here, Kerneïz brilliantly exposes this philosophy by explaining it, without never moving away from its mystical significance. This work is thus, like all the books of the author, of a perfect topicality and modernity with our requirements of man of XXIe century. One will thus find the principles there to save our energy, by avoiding agitation, so as to return the activity of the effective body: a lost energy remains lost in spite of the sleep and it is a capital of life which one loses. “ It is not necessary whatever the act that we make, that on 100 units of energies spent, 30% are employed with the act itself and 70% in effort to correct the unstable balance of the entire body. ”. Often, the individual rate/rhythm is choked by the rate/rhythm which the company imposes, for that “ the pupil who holds the head of his class is not inevitably most intelligent nor even the best gifted one: it is that whose individual rate/rhythm corresponds best to the rate/rhythm of teaching. ”. If India is made up of castes it is because it finds its base in the harmonization of the rates/rhythms: a joined together caste people of comparable rate/rhythm, which makes it possible the group to have a better effectiveness. In the same way one observes as the Nature observes two different rates/rhythms in summer as in winter, the animals live according to rate/rhythm: only the man spends as much of energy in summer than in winter, and that with depend on its health . For that, it is also regrettable that the modern music lost the contact with the natural rate/rhythm, because it becomes dangerous about it.
It is the same for the food mode, in occident (and especially in France where one does not find products “suitable for vegetarians”) one has as great fright the food deficiency and think, thanks to erudite studies that the meat is the magic remedy. It is however forgotten that the man is an animal adaptable to any medium, and that thus it created his requirement out of meat. Kerneïz proves here that it of it is nothing: the principal rule being to eat the domestic products and to eat them well, by applying these principles, the mode vegetarian which is most natural, is also the best. “ the supremacy of the meat in food value is thus illusory. Actually this one is less than those of cereals, seeds and the roots. ”. But this should not be a diktat, because “if the butcher plays a social role, the rich person hunter is inexcusable.”. In the same way the sexual life must be balanced, chastity not being a ridiculous principle as the opinion thinks it.
