The X Factor
The X Factor is a British emission of TV-hook in the line of Pop Idol (Nouvelle Star in France). It is diffused Saturday evening on the chain ITV with the the United Kingdom and on TV3 in Ireland. The emission is produced by FremantleMedia and the production company of Simon Cowell, SYCOtv. The title refers to small something indefinable which makes the talent of a star.
The X Factor is the greatest competition of the kind in Europe, with 200.000 hearings at the time of the fourth season. Jury and presenters
Season 1 to the 3, the jury was composed of Simon Cowell, Sharon Osbourne and Louis Walsh.
After a few months of various speculations concerning casting, it was finally confirmed in June 2007 that the members of the jury of the fourth season would be Simon Cowell, Sharon Osbourne, Louis Walsh and Dannii Minogue, with the presence of Brian Friedman as a coach and choreographer. Sharon Osbourne declared that it would not take part in next season 5 if the winner of this year did not come from his category. This business was refuted by official voice - a spokesperson of ITV confirmed that the contract of Sharon Osbourne did not finish before 2009. However, that of Dannii Minogue is not expected that until season 5.
Until the third season, the emission was animated by Kate Thornton. It was replaced by Dermot O' Leary which signed a contract of 1 £ million to present two seasons. However, O' Leary was not constrained to give up the frankness Big Brother and it continued to present it during the summer 2007.
Course of the emission
