The Wisdom of the insane one

Biographical fiction on Jean-Jacques Rousseau, 1953. Editions Beech, 1995. ( Translation of Claude Porcell and foreword of Gisela Lütig relating in particular to the particular design which Feuchtwnager of the historical novel has. )

In 1778, little time before its death, Jean-Jacques Rousseau is accommodated with Ermenonville by one as of its admirors, the marquis of Girardin. Novel, which is completed in 1794 in Paris when ashes of the philosopher are accommodated in the Pantheon, shows the often contradictory aspects of Jean-Jacques Rousseau, her thought and its doctrines which inspired the revolutionary assemblies. The author carries his reflection, inter alia, on the variation which exists between a " idée" and its application in reality, as on its interpretation by those which are claimed some.

The novel is built in 5 parts: I) Last days of Jean-Jacques; II) Late Jean-Jacques; III) Jean-Jacques and his heirs; IV) Jean-Jacques and people; V) Tranfiguration of Jean-Jacques.
