History
After being itself formed in 1999, the line-up of Warlocks already knew 19 different members. The current formation gathers around the leader Bobby Hecksher and with their 2 beaters and their 4 guitarists of formation, they produce a wall of the continuous sound which evokes a traditional mixture of psychedelism and rock' roll velvetien, remedy imparable to become a phenomenon underground.Bobby Hecksher grew on the side of the marshes of Tampa Bay, in Florida, passing the major part of its time in the buildings of the radio station which has his/her grandfather and in which his/her mother works as secretary.
At 16 years, its family moves for Los Angeles where Bobby finds soul mates quickly. He repeats with Beck, playing of low on " Drunk Stereopathetic Manure" , the club " attends; Mad Hatter" , plays occasionally with the Brian Jonestown Massacre while taking part in very the evenings as legendary Timothy Leary. These cultural exchanges and creative quickly amènenent Bobby to form Warlocks.
Their first album " Small channel and Fall" (Bomp, 2000) assistance to build their reputation of group of scene but it is with their following album " Phoenix" (published on several labels according to the continents Mute/City Rockers in Europe and Birdman in the United States) which makes known them with the general public, especially thanks to individual the " Shake the additive out".
In 2005, the group, whose survival gives the impression of from day to day, leaves a new album " Surgery". The round which follows sees the departure of Corey Granet and the absences repeated of Laura Grigsby to let plane the greatest doubt about the future of the group.
Finally, the group from now on four in 2007, will leave a new album being entitled " Heavy Deavy Skull Lover" in October 2007.
