Synopsis

Anna which is doctor learns with his/her father that it is sick heart and must be operated. This one disappears suddenly, Anna convinced that it left in Arménie, country which it had left about the Fifties, share with its research. Will it find it in spite of the little of indices which it has?

For Robert Guédiguian, it is a return to the family sources towards Arménie which changed much after the fall of the Communist. The film makes known and to like this country which badly had to adapt to the “liberal” changes, where the attraction of the west is very strong and where unhealthy businesses flower. Will Arménie keep its identity and its exits charm of a thousand-year-old history and will be able it to fix its young people at the country?

In a documentary part, beautiful images taken of an old Soviet helicopter show us imposing landscapes, while the landing makes discover a splendid church.
