The Violent one

the Violent one ( In has Lonely Place ) is an American film carried out by Nicholas Ray left in 1950.

The scenario is the adaptation by Edmund North of the novel In has Lonely Place of Dorothy B. Hughes appeared in 1948. Bogart plays the part of Dixon Steele, a suspecté cynical scenario writer of murder. Grahame interprets Laurel Gray, a neighbor which falls under its charm. Under the anecdotic criminal intrigue the true interest of film resides: the sour comment of Hollywood manners and the life of the celebrities, in the vein of two other films left this same year but much more famous: Boulevard of the twilight of Billy Wilder and All Butt Eve of Joseph Mankiewicz.
