The Venetian

The Venetian is a hotel-casino located at Las Vegas open in July 1999. This hotel takes again the topic of Venice. Its English name The Venetian means in French Venetian the . The owner of this hotel is Las Vegas Sands (hotel group pertaining to Sheldon Adelson).

Description

It is a large hotel located opposite the Treasure Island and beside the Casino Royal . It counted 3036 rooms before a first enlarging of 1013 rooms which had carried the whole to 4049 rooms. A new enlarging is planned for 2007: The Palazzo will add approximately 3000 rooms to the complex The Venetian , which will thus become the largest hotel of the world, with approximately 7000 rooms.

Conveniences of the hotel

Venetian contains 16 restaurants:

  • the hotel also has a nightclub ( CAT nightclub ), several swimming pools, of Spa, and a center of convention.

  • the hotel counts also the Musée of wax Mrs Tussauds Las Vegas

and the Guggenheim Museum Off Las Vegas , open in October 2001, which is famous for its funds of international painting.

  • a canal system which the visitors can borrow on board gondoles to traverse the Grand Channel Shoppes, the shopping mall of Venetian. (see photo)
