The Valley of the wolves - Iraq

the Valley of the wolves - Iraq ( Kurtlar Vadisi Iraq in Turkish) is a Turkish film of the realizer Serdar Akar, left in 2006. It is drawn from the televised series of the same name, which has gained a great success for three years. With a budget of 10  000  000 of dollars, it is the largest budget of the history of the Turkish cinema.

Synopsis

The action proceeds during the Guerre in Iraq: men of the special forces of the Turkish armed , present in Iraq, are humiliated by the GI (American soldiers), the July 4th 2003. One of them commits suicide. One of his/her friends swears not to leave respite to the American forces and fights at the sides of the Iraqi Résistance.

The film depicts all kinds of abuse the American army, in particular the Torture S in the Prison of Abu Ghraib.

The beginning of this synopsis is drawn from a true story.

The film had an enormous success in Turkey and near the immigrant Turkish communities, in Germany and Austria.

The film was described like anti-American and nationalist, even anti-semite by certain politicians. The film shows a doctor who flies of the bodies of the victims to send them to New York, with London and Tel-Aviv. As one learns later in film that the doctor is Jewish, certain estimate that it is thus about a film anti-semite.

Israel on standby misses bodies for its patients of gifts. However the Trafic of body is a problem which touches Europe and the whole world. Israel is not touched more a priori by this type of criminality than another country: it is however Israel which is particularly aimed here. The film claims that the Israeli Jews steal the bodies of the Iraqis with the complicity of the American army, and suggests that they have an interest in the-known as massacres. Israel is however not implied directly in the conflict in Iraq at the sides of the Americans, even if it is present at Iraqi Kurdistan. As the name of Israel east associated among others with macabre facts, some estimate that it is thus about a film anti-semite.

The film present of the Americans who perpetrate massacres in a deliberated way and without apparent reason, thus giving a very negative image of the American army. What with been able to check itself in the town of Ichaki after the massacre of an whole family by the American army

The bombardment of a marriage takes as a starting point the bombardment of the village of Al-Qaëm in 2004 which with fact 40 dead.

It is a Turkish nationalist film: " Instead of hero Turkish such as Mehmet the conqueror, respectful of ethnic and religious diversity, Mustafa Kemal, which could respect its enemies, or that Sheik Bedrettin and Yilmaz Güney, which defended the opprimés" , writing Gündüz Vassaf in Radikal, " there is from now on right, with Kurtlar Vadisi, with a superhéros avenger full with hatred whose only pride is to be turc."

In France, this film was interdict with less than sixteen years and certain authors qualify the silence of the media in its connection of " censure douce" .
