The USA Hockey

Hockey the United States or the USA Hockey is the national federation for the Hockey Amateur with the the United States and an organization member of the International federation of hockey (FIHG). The head office of the organization is located in the town of Colorado Springs, with the Colorado and counted 445  000 members for the season 2004 - 05. In dialog with Hockey Canada, the USA Hockey is one of two associations members of the FIHG which uses its own book of the payments rather than to follow the standard payments of the FIHG. the USA Hockey Rules and Casebook off Ice Hockey (the book of the payments of the hockey of the USA hockey) is updated every two years during the even years. The USA Hockey manages the male national championship of level Tiers I and Third II and the female national championship of all the levels. Lastly, it manages the US National TEAM Development Program (development program of the national team) whose head office is located in the town of Ann Arbor, with the Michigan and who is composed of a group of players selected and sorted among the most talented players of the United States. This team takes part in the North American Hockey League (NAHL) like in the United States Hockey League in addition to being a sporting organization taking part in the collegial championship of NCAA Division I and in various international competitions. It is not rare to see a big number of players of the American program making their entry in LNH or being selected in the team of the United States.

At the time of the Fishing out of entry in the LNH 2006, six choices of first round (including the first choice Erik Johnson) were members of American program NTDP.
