Comments

  • After the diffusion of only three episodes, Showtime announced that a second season will be diffused in 2008.
  • being a historical work of fiction, freedoms were taken with historical reality. Ansi the character of the sister of Henri, called Margaret Princess in the series, is a mixture of the two sisters of the king: events of the life of his/her younger sister, Marie, with the name of his/her older sister Marguerite Tudor in order to avoid any confusion with the girl of Henri, Marie. The younger sister by king, Marie, was actually married with Charles Brandon once widowed, but its first husband was the French king Louis XII, and not the king of the Portugal as told in the series. This marriage lasted a few months and not a few days, in addition there is no historical proof which it put an end to the days of its first husband in his sleep in order to escape a marriage with a man much older than it. Without counting that these two marriages actually have place had ten years earlier than what is represented in the series.
