The Tripod
The Tripode is a building which was located at Nantes, in France, and which was destroyed in 2005.
Built in 1972 on the island of Nantes in order to accommodate services of the State, the Tripod owes its name with its configuration in the star shape with three branches. The use of Amiante in its construction led to its closing with the beginning of the year 1990. After one year of asbestos removal, the Tripod was finally demolished by implosion on February 27th, 2005. In the years which go suivrent, its site is intended to accommodate part of new the Quartier of businesses: Euronantes, currently in the course of installation.
