The Trinity (Martinique)

the Trinity is a common French located in the department of the Martinique and the area Martinique. Its inhabitants is called Trinitéens.

Located on the Atlantic coast of Martinique, the Trinity is one of the three sub-prefectures of Martinique. The sub-prefecture of the Trinity was created by the decree of September 15th, 1965.

It counts on its territory Tartane and the Presqu'île of the Caravel, at the end of which the Dubuc castle overhangs a Mangrove.

Distilling was founded in 1830 by Emilien Bonneville. Following the marriage of one of his/her daughters, the exploitation was bought by her husband Gaston Hardy in 1905. Since, distilling belongs to the Hardy family. She is not smoking since 1996. The factory in ruin presents a sheet tangle and old steam engines noirâtres, completely corroded by moisture and little by little gained by the vegetation. So nowadays distillation is done from now on with the Saint-James factory in Sainte-Marie, the original receipt with 55° of Rhums Hardy is accurately respected and one continues to stop the bottles with wax. Produced with the low annual volume of 120.000 liters, Hardy rum is always held by the last of the heirs to the big family Hardy de Tartane, Jean-Claude Hardy.
