the Tiger (slogan: " curious newspaper curieux") is a Mensuel general practitioner, independent and without publicity, sold in kiosks and bookstores. The Tiger also appears on Internet, in the form of the Tigre of the day, which proposes prepublication of the number in progress, as well as a new daily page on the topicality.

The Tiger existed between March 2006 and August 2006 in the shape of a weekly magazine appearing the Friday (first number: March 17th 2006). The publication was then suspended between the autumn 2006 and February 2007, date on which the Tiger is reappeared in its new formula. In this first version of the newspaper, the collaborators signed under pseudonyms, thus joining again with a practice of the press at its beginnings, with an aim declared d'  “  to offer a new glance on the texts and images, where the notoriety of each one does not enter in account   ”.

The newspaper " Tigre" was conceived by the team of the magazine of R of reality.

According to its leading line, the Tiger proposes “  to voluntarily break with the borders usually drawn up between journalists, writers and academics.   ” The Tiger accommodates many photographers and draftsmen.

Each month, the Tiger proposes a serial telling the slides of the Wikipédia francophone : the Wikifeuilleton .

Anecdote

the Tiger is carried out with Free software, and in particular with Scribus, the free equivalent of XPress and Indesign.
