The Three Musketeers (film, 1961)

Synopsis

At the 17th century, the young person of Artagnan leaves his Gascogne native for Paris where it will postulate near Mr. de Tréville, captain of the Mousquetaires, a knowledge of his father. On its way, it has a dispute with a mysterious individual whom it saw discussing with a not less mysterious young person rams fair. Because of this incident, of Artagnan arrives tardily at Paris and accidentally hustles three musketeers in their barracks. As the habit requires it, those defy it in Duel for repair. On the spot of their confrontations, the four men are surprised by the guards of the cardinal Richelieu and make a pact then to fight them. Winners, the three musketeers and of Artagnan become friendly, being recognized like faithful subjects of their king Louis XIII. They go, consequently, being the keen defenders of the royal couple and, so to become the sworn enemies of the cardinal and his many henchmen of which the very dangerous one as much as beautiful spy MILADY de Winter…

Mylène Demongeot : I learn by the newspapers that the brothers Borderie, Charles and Raymond, the producers of the Sorcières of Salem , will put in building site with the director Bernard Borderie, wire of the second, the Three Musketeers , of Alexandre Dumas. One of my beloved books and a role of which I dream, that of famous the MILADY de Winter.
Là, I do not lose a second and I sink to see them. I still owe them by contract two films with extremely low wages but I of insane completion. This role, I want it. I make them a been obstinated war. They find me too young? I prove to them by has + B that the heroes of Dumas are young… I beg them to trust me and I obtain the role with torn off. Exhausted but delighted. I
Mais go once again, being disappointed. By the scenario. Why be obstinated to make another thing that what was written by a marvellous feuilletonist? Nobody or almost can nothing do better than him. All the adaptations will be always less strong, less visual, less impetuous, less erotic than the original… I remember a scene in the bed of MILADY the night, where, benefitting from the darkness, D' Artagnan replaces into soft Buckingham… Anybody, to my knowledge, never yet carried it to the screen.
