the Temple of the Winds ( Temple off the Winds ) is the fourth volume in the series the Sword of truth writes by Terry Goodkind. It left in 1997.

Introduction

Jagang, emperor of the Imperial Order, called upon a prophecy with Fork-Vice binding Richard and Kahlan to a destiny of pain, treason and a way to the hells. At the request of Jagang, a Sister of Oscurité penetrates in fabulous Temple of the Winds and releases a disease, the plague, which sweeps the New World like a fire, destroying lives at alarming intervals. To stop this plague, Richard and Kahlan must sacrifice all that they have in common.

History

The Temple of the Winds takes again the intrigue little time after the end of " volume; The Blood of the Tear.

A wizard, Marlin, appear in Aydindril announcing his intentions to kill Richard Rahl. It immediately is captured, and questioned by the Mère Inquisitrice, Kahlan Amnell and one of the bodyguards of Richard, Cara. Cara uses its capacities of Bites-Sith to turn over the gift of Marlin against him when it tries to escape. The bond between Cara and Marlin is used against it when Jagang takes possession of the spirit of Marlin after it is tempted to escape. Later, a woman emerges from last from Richard, Nadine, it is herbalist in Grounds of West. She tries to cure Cara but fails. The half-brother of Richard, Drefan, a large priest resulting from a sect secret, arrived has to look after Cara.

Old the Lady Abesse Annalina and Zedd is put at the continuation of Nathan. Their research carry out them in inns in an anonymous city, where they discover that Nathan misled them so that they follow another man who informs them not to continue Nathan more, but to protect a treasure. With the book, Kahlan returns in Aydindril, but a battle follows with Defran, and it is unable to kill it. Heuresment, Richard arrives and neutralizes Drefan which is killed by the sliph little time afterwards. Kahlan destroys the book by pronouncing the three Chimes to recommend by Nathan curing Richard of the plague thus. Later, Richard and Kahlan go to the country Hommes of Adobe to marry. They meet Zedd and Anna there that Chanladen delivered. Richard and Kahlan are linked in spite of the visit of Shota which again informs them not to design children, for that it gives to Kalhan a collar likely to avoid a pregnancy.
