The Tellers

The Raconteurs is the new project of the singer, guitarist and pianist of the White Stripes, Jack White. It is accompanied by three friends, resulting from the scene rock'n'roll of Detroit, which it met in 1998: the guitarist Brendan Benson, the bass player Jack Lawrence and the beater Patrick Keller. The group was formed after Jack White and Brendan Benson had composed their first song: Steady, Ace She Goes . The characteristic of this group is that its four members had all a certain success before: Jack White with the White Stripes, Benson in solo (three albums: One the Mississippi , Lapalco and Alternate to Love ), Jack Lawrence and Patrick Keeler formants the rhythm section of the Greenhornes. Nevertheless, of the four, only Jack White exploded, becoming an icon impossible to circumvent of the scene rock'n'roll. It is essentially responsible for the speed of the creation of the group.

The Raconteurs is what one calls a “Supergroupe”, with the image of The Dirty Mac, Audioslave, Blind Faith or Velvet Revolver, namely that several musicians resulting from various groups link themselves to share their talents. The four musicians decided to base themselves in the Midwest in Nashville, because for them the scene of Detroit died.

They take again various styles of music while remaining in the rock'n'roll from where them name, The Raconteurs.
