Comments
It is the too known history of the rejection from abroad (Antoine Cassendi is originating in Touraine), by a community folded up on itself, all the more oppressive feeling as it is of an insular company and a work place, a headlight on the open sea, that one calls the Enfer . A foreigner who takes the place, a foreigner which wants to learn, somebody who disturbs the life of an small group. Only, Mabé Guen will accept it for a short pressure, before it leaves Ushant definitively. The film is a beautiful partition for the actors, Sandrine Bonnaire is a little in withdrawal to leave it face to face Derangère/Torreton, to occupy the foreground. The island and the headlight do not have nothing to do with universe effectively returned by Philippe Lioret.
A " distraction" show sometimes Antoine with the bandaged right hand whereas its wounded hand is generally the left.
The scenario takes again the history which Sandrine Bonnaire in Miss tells, that Philippe Lioret put in scene 3 years before.
