The Super Dimension Fortress Macross (超時空要塞マクロス - Chôjikû yôsai Macross ) is a Anime Japan board in 36 episodes 25 minutes, realized by Noboru Ishiguro in 1982. This series was initially diffused with the the United States under the title Robotech: The Macross Saga and in France, under the title Robotech , starting from the May 25th 1987 on Five.

Synopsis

In 1999, a gigantic spaceship is crushed on an island of the Pacific. The nations, conscious of the danger which a race can represent having reached this technology, link after a war known as of unification to restore the vessel, creating the SDF-1 Macross (Super Fortress-1 Dimension). In 2009, whereas one roughness to inaugurate it, vessels aliens approach the terrestrial orbit. Route of the SDF-1

In 1999, a gigantic spaceship Extraterrestre (named ESA for Alien Space Ship ) is crushed on the island of Atalie of the South in the Pacific Ocean. The vessel is restored and adapted for a human control; the SDF-1 Macross ( Super Dimension Fortress -1) was born. In addition, technology discovered is used to create robots having the dimensions supposed of the extraterrestrial ones; some are transformable out of jets (Valkyrie), others do not change but constitute kinds of tanks (destroïdes, of which Tomahawks, Spartans and Defenders).

In 2009, whereas one is on the point of inaugurating the SDF-1, a fleet Zentradien does not approach the terrestrial orbit; the SDF-1 draws automatically (an automatic programming installation by the creators of the ESA and up to now ignored the human ones) and destroyed two vessels (1st episode). Extraterrestrial troops unload on the island, the combat engages on the ground. After an unfruitful attempt at takeoff by systems anti-gravity, Macross takes off in catastrophe with the traditional engines. Initially wishing to move away the extraterrestrial threat from the Ground, the commander Global orders a fold , i.e. a flight hyperspatial to approach the the Moon; but because of a dysfunction, Macross involves the island like two aircraft carriers crossing in the vicinity, and the unit rematérialise (die fold ) on the orbit of Pluton (ép. 3).

56.000 civilians are repatriated on board, Macross tries to regain the Earth. The voyage is punctuated attacks of Zentradiens, which do not seem however not to want to destroy Macross. The commander zentradien Vrlitwhai associates the reinforcement of the fleet of the general Quamzin Kravshera, but this one is impetuous and on several occasions tries to destroy Macross instead of capturing it.

In the vessel, the civilians organize and recreate a city, as well as a television channel, and organize the contest of Macross Miss, gained by Lynn Minmay (ép. 9).
