History

In Mirage, the song Nimrodel - The Procession - The White Rider was based on a character of the Seigneur of the Rings, Nimrodel. Being avid readers, the musicians of Camel decided to continue in this same wave by producing a new album, this time, based on a book. Several titles were proposed of which: Siddharta and the Wolf of the steppes (French version of Steppenwolf ) of Hermann Hesse proposed by the pianist Peter Bardens but none of these works were finally retained. Later, the bass player Doug Ferguson proposed the book for child The Snow Goose . Immediately, Peter Bardens and Andrew Latimer started to compose of the music based on this news. Since 1974, Camel interpreted songs of their next album which left only in 1975.
