Summary

In Brescello, Italian small village, the competition is permanent between Peppone, the communist mayor who has just triumphed with the elections and Don Camillo, the priest of shock which daily takes separately the Lord in the church. Directing two clans of shock, the two men, although rivals, remain despite everything friends since childhood. It is besides often that they link their efforts for the good of the commune, would be this only to promise in marriage the Romeo and Juliette buildings, whose two families, one of the communist country poor and the other of rich person clerical owners, are hated. When the departure of the turbulent priest is announced, sent in a cure of mountain in punishment of its violence, " rouges" come to greet it and Peppone does not hide to him that he hopes for his next return.
