Comments and characteristics

The Seeker is presented in the form of a song Hard rock, with a succession of simple and distorted agreements. It is the first individual one except album of the Who published during the decade 1970. As often, the words of Pete Townshend present a vision sociƩtale, echoing songs like My Generation . Here, it is the discomfort of a generation in search of answers which is approached. One can say that it is about the lament of a narrator who seeks answers to his interrogations to calm his anguishes. Figures of the popular culture of the time, like Timothy Leary, the Beatles and Bob Dylan are quoted.

There is no solo of guitar strictly speaking, but a solo of Mandoline particularly sharp and energetic.
