Presentation
The department of the Sarthe east to dominant rural; it creates a true discrepancy with its chief town: the city of the Mans. This department rather vast and is populated relatively little since the urban surface of Mans includes/understands almost half of the total population of the department. The beauty as of its campaigns is remarkable. Sarthe North articulates with the the mancelles Alps on the level of Fresnaye on the Sarthe. A little more in North, of very beautiful valleys are visible, the more so as skirting the Sarthe, they offer a relatively beautiful landscape. The department is not really recognized for the quality of its landscape, but it remains of a great beauty. The department has many forests in particular those of Perseigne, of Rocked or Wood Epau. The department gains all its potential thanks to its Mancelle capital, since many are the old industrial parks in phase of reconversion, the more so as of many small villages inhabitants lose. We can thus consider the department under two faces: one extra-urban, Mans Metropolis, composed of the City of Mans and its very widened and very populated Urban Surface, and the remainder of the department, very " vert" , cultivated and rather little inhabited.
