The Rover
The Rover was a ship corsair built with Liverpool, ordered mainly by Alexander Godfrey.
The Rover became famous when it captured the Santa Rita , Spanish flagship and its two ships gunners. The 55 men of crew of the Rover made captive the 125 men of these three ships without undergoing losses. This bright victory made to Alexander Godfrey a hero in England, which even offered to him rewards for it its own ship in the Royal Navy.
