The Reader

the Reader is a French film realized by Michel Deville, left in 1987.

Synopsis

Fascinated by Marie, the heroin of the novel “the reader”, Constance decides in its turn to make reading in residence with esseulés people. After having passed a classified, it becomes acquainted with Eric, a handicapped teenager, and of his other “customers”: a mischievous young girl, a Marxist widow of general in the heart, a chairman neurotic who are made read “the lover” of Marguerite Duras, or a magistrate with the retirement, large admiror of the sulfurous writings of the Marquis de Sade.
