The Princess Splashes (Disney)

the Princess Splashes is a project of feature film of animation of the studios Disney, inspired of Tale S Russian such as the Frog tsarina (in Russian Царевна-Лягушка ) or Vassilissa wise the (in Russian ВасилисаПремудрая ).

Synopsis

In the traditional tale, a king asks his three sons to draw an arrow in a direction different and to marry the woman who will collect the arrow. The first marries the girl of a general, the second the girl of a commercial rich person. The arrow of young person fell into a marsh and due to marry the frog which was there because it was it which had found its arrow.

The frog is in fact a young magician of the name Vassilissa, the very beautiful one. A wizard threw a fate to him which condemns it to keep a frog appearance. The princess finds her appearance in various ways according to the versions.

The scenario of film would move away a little the history from origin, and in this animated version, after many adventures, Ivan (the prince) and the princess would live happy after having raised the curse.

Comments

This film will put in scene for the first time a Disney Princess Noire. The name of the princess because some disorders when the studios realized that Maddy , the name of the princess, close to Mammy , was regarded as offensive for the Afro-américain. The name has had for summer modified in Tiana. In addition, Tiana will not be depicted any more like a chambermaid working for a young person and rich spoiled aristocrat of the South of the United States.

Another controversy related to the title of film: the Frog Princess. It was noted that this title could be offensive for the French, frog being an insulting manner to call the French. The title was thus changed into " The Princess and The Frog" by Ron Lenient and John Musker. The composition of the music would be finally entrusted to Randy Newman. No photograph or extract of the history was still placed at the disposal of the public.

In fact, the completion of the film - whose development began in July 2006 - could be seen compromised by the recent dismissals within the branch animation of the group.
