Between expatriation, cultural shock, difficulty of the language (the courses are in Catalan whereas abroad one learns the Castillan), it starts to be integrated while benefitting from its life of student.

Comments

  • This film was turned with a numeric camera, which gives a flexibility of assembly largely exploited by Cédric Klapisch, as well as a side “video amateur” who corresponds perfectly to environment. The scenes are held as the memories which one has when a photo album is looked at, with a certain chronological order but of many digressions and comments. It is a kind of “film brain”: a " truth bordel" , just like Xavier thinks of being, but who leaves a place, to return to same… the
To note the recurring use of the screen splity (screen cut in several parts) adapted to the situations utilizing several characters in different places.
