The Plane (airline company)

the Plane is the trade mark of the company ELYSAIR which accomplished its first commercial flight the January 3rd 2007.

The airline company is created starting from a new concept of service of scheduled flight: it is the first European company specialized in the class business at broken prices. The executive team consists of Marc Rochet (former leader of Air Freedom) and of Frantz Yvelin (pilot of creative plane of the concept).

She has only one apparatus, a Boeing 757 -200 registered F-HAVN and carrying the serial number: 25140/382 (previously exploited by Condor Thomas Cook under registration D-ABNF). This one is arranged with 90 seats, whereas this type of apparatus can transport to 220 passengers.

This company proposes flights classifies exclusively of it business between Paris Orly South and New York Newark. The apparatus is in permanent rotation between these two destinations, at a rate of a daily return ticket. The flight Orly-Newark takes off with 14:00 (local time) and carries number AO-001, while the flight Newark-Orly takes off with 19:30 (local time) and carries number AO-002.

Six crews take turns to ensure this rotation. At the time of the revisions of the type has, B and especially C, the apparatus is immobilized and the flights are consequently cancelled.

After eight month of activity, the rate of filling proves to be 70% to 80%. The company thus decided to aquƩrir second B-757 in order to develop its activity Southern Orly/New York Newark. The company also considers the opening of one second destination. The choice of this one is not stopped yet, the destinations considered being Moscow and Dubai. For this new destination, the purchase of Boeing 767 is considered because of market appropriatenesses, but the average fuel consumption of this apparatus is of 30% higher than that of the Boeing 757. This last thus remains the favorite option.
