Synopsis

In the the Caribbean, at last century, Manuela does not support its marriage with the Mayor of the city and dream of the famous imaginary pirate Macoco. A travelling acrobat, to allure it, decides to be made pass for the famous pirate one. He is thrown in prison and is condemned to dead…

Comment

On a music of Cole Porter, helped by Gene Kelly (which Co-choreography the musical numbers), Vincente Minnelli carries out a romantic and coloured vision world of the pirates and an island of the Caribbean at the 19th century. The film finishes in apotheosis with the duet, sung and danced by Gene Kelly and Judy Garland, Be has Clown! .
