Pierre Heuzé: a district confronted with social big problems
Located at the western north of Caen, the limit of Hérouville Saint-Clearly, the district of Pierre Heuzé was built in the middle of the years 1970.
Wedged in the middle of a circular boulevard, he has problems partly related on a concentrated and primarily social habitat and to the precariousness which touches most of the 8.000 inhabitants of which the half has between 20 and 50 years.
Long-term unemployment reached there 40,45% of the population, with nearly 35% of this one without qualification.
It is classified in Zone of Urban Relaunching and fact part of the priority districts of the Contract of city signed with the area and the State.
