The Petit Robert
the Petit Robert is a Dictionnaire of language French E, published by the Dictionnaires the Robert. Its first edition appears in 1967. It is a version shortened in only one volume of the alphabetical and analogical Dictionnaire of the French language which counted 9 of them.
The second edition of the Petit Robert was published in 1978, the third in 1993. It also was the subject of one recasting at the time of its 40e birthday (vintage edition 2007).
This dictionary, in addition to giving the definition of the words, contains their Antonyme S, their Synonyme S and them etymology. For this reason, he is often appreciated by people writing texts regularly. This edition counts 60 000 words.
The Petit Robert also exists in electronic version since 1996.
