the Perfume, history of a murderer is a German film carried out by Tom Tykwer.
Synopsis
Jean Baptiste Frog is born in 1738. Child solitary, sick, he becomes an young man with share thanks to a single gift: its sense of smell. Frog does not have other passion that of the odors, and each second of its life is guided by this highly developed direction. Surviving misérablement, he manages to be made engage like apprentice in the Masters perfumers of the capital . He then discovers the techniques and the trade secrets of the perfumes. Its gift enables him to compose some olfactive masterpieces, but its ultimate goal quickly becomes the development of the ideal fragrance, that which would enable him to allure instantaneously all those which would cross its wake. In its search for ingredients, Grenouille is irresistibly attracted by the natural Parfum of the young girls. It will go until killing some much to steal their odor to them…
Anecdotes
- Stanley Kubrick declared that the book was infilmable.
- Ridley Scott planned to carry out this film a long time before its implementation. Tim Burton also planned to carry it out.
- Martin Scorsese studied the project, but arrived at the same conclusion as Kubrick: the book could not be adapted.
- Bernd Eichinger wanted to make film, but Patrick Süskind refused to yield the rights to him. It is not that in 2001 qu ' it agreed to it, and accepted approximately 10 million euros.
- It is the German film expensive never carried out (in date of 2006).
