The Pact
the Pact is the first episode of the series of Cartoon Atalante.

Synopsis
the Pact opens on the anger of king Iasos. This last wants to kill the girl that it had with his wife, wanting only one child male. But Imandre, a priestess of Hécate, evokes the anger of Hécate to him. It decides to give up the child.
Atalante is collected by Artémis, Hécate and Aphrodite. The latter proposes to offer gifts to the child, as well as a magic dagger which always turns over in its sleeve. Héra the jealous one, made plâner on it curse of the gods if it were to fall in love somebody. The baby finds himself in the Forest of Pélion, where Faunes, Nymphes and other creatures live. Pyros, a Fauna, requires the ourse Gaya to accept it like infant.
At ten years, Atalante shows already a speed of astonishing race. She ventures in a temple kept by harpies which wish to eat it, but Protected from the three goddesses the temple leaves healthy and safe. It apperçoit by far warlike with horse, the Amazon, and nourishes the ambition to resemble to him. At this point in time it is removed by hunters which have just killed Gaya.
Transition: Atalante is adult and wishes to embark on Argos bound for Colchide, but Méléagre and others are savage with its presence. It and Jason have a surging discussion until the arrival of a friend of this last. Atalante finds with him Pyros, locked up in a cage, and releases it. He seeks Atalante because the Centaurs retain Chiron the immortal prisoner and ransack the Forest of Pélion. An appearance of Hécate makes sign in Argonautes which Atalante will be worthy to accompany them if it delivers Chiron.
It turns over in the Forest where it is attacked by two Centaurs. They kills them with a small help of Artémis. It joined Chiron and the chief of the Centaurs, Nessos. This last requires of him to intervene with the gods to raise the curse which weighs on its race, the sterility of the Centaures females.
Brassidias Fauna proposes a market: Atalante and a Centaur must make a race, the first arrived at the end recovers an object and brings back it to the starting point. If Atalante gains, the Centaurs release Chiron, if not it will have to go to beseech on their behalf the tolerance of the gods. The object is the dagger of Atalante.
During the race, the Centaurs cheat, which makes believe Atalante losing. But grace the magic capacity of the dagger which returns in its sleeve, the huntress gains and the Centaurs give up their influence on Pélion. Atalante can finally join Argo.
