The Outfit (Chicago)

The Outfit (the team), is the name given to the family of the Organized crime to Chicago. This family is different compared to the families from the Italian-American Mafia and in particular the Five families from New York, by her ethnic co-education, including/understanding members of origin Italian (sicilian or Neapolitan), Jewish, Irish or different.

Its chiefs were successively Big Jim Colosimo, Johnny Torrio, Al Capone, Frank Nitti, Paul Ricca, Anthony Accardo, Sam Giancana

During the years of the Prohibition, The Outfit was particularly active in the Contrebande of alcohol. In the years 1950-1960, the Maffia of Chicago benefitted great of the basic extortions of the pension fund from the truck-drivers, with the complicity of the leader of the trade union of the Teamsters, Jimmy Hoffa. Following a lawsuit called " The lawsuit of the secrecies of famille" from June 2007, this Maffia is in lose speed. Joey " The clown" Lombardo: ex-owner of " the appareil" , Frank Calabrese and James Marcello appear before the court to answer of 18 assassinations, perpetrated in the years 1970-1980. This lawsuit takes place thanks to the consents of Nick Calabrese and Frank Calabrese junior; wire of Frank Calabrese.
