Stewart has already the name of the group - The Police - but they miss a bass player. Stewart thinks of Sting (Gordon Matthew Sumner of its true name), which it located at the time of a concert of Last Exit in Newcastle. He hated the group, but adored Sting and this one wants to precisely settle in London. The meeting takes place shortly after and the group starts to repeat in the squat that Stewart occupies in Mayfair before making their first dates in the London clubs. At the beginning of February, hardly one month later, The Organizes between in Pathway Recording Studios, small studio 8 tracks which Bazzaa has, and record their first titles, of which individual the Fall Out and Nothing Achieving .In parallel, Sting will be introduced in May with Andy Summers by a former musician of the “Gong”, Mike Howlett, who invites them to form “Strontium 90”. An album with titles studio and live will leave in 1997 under the name of " Strontium 90: Academy." organizes; The history will thus retain EC group which it is by its skew that Andy Summers met Sting and Copeland. On this Strontium 90 disc, one can hear two future titles of The Police: " Visions off the Night" and " Every Little thing She Does Is Magic".
Following this meeting, Andy Summers joined Police in July 1977 and the initial trio of Sting, Padovani and Copeland, passes to four. The third grinding of the group reduces again to the trio, will be the good one. The group will be success until the apogee in 1983 where Police will receive three Grammy Awards, but the excess of tension between its members will push them with separation although there never was official scission.
