The Old Musician
the Old Musician is a table carried out by the painter Edouard Manet in 1862, during the period during which the artist was influenced by the Spanish Art . It is about the fabric of Manet offering broadest dimensions.
The fabric contains a series of more or less direct allusions. The man with the Hat top hat, on the right, is not other than the Buveur of wormwood , painted by Manet a few years more early and reappearing here without particular reason. The young boy with the straw hat, as for him, is inspired explicitly by the Pierrot of Watteau. As for the bearded man, finally, it is not without pointing out the Ménippe Diego Vélasquez.
