The the Northern Marianna Islands of North belong to the archipelago of the Mariannes in the Pacific Ocean, in the north of Guam.

If this proposal became law (reintroduced on February 18th 2005 under new a n° H.R. 873), it would make it possible the Northern Mariana Islands to elect a delegate without right to vote with the American congress, as from the elections of 2006.
