The North-East of Pará
The mésorégion of the North-East of Pará is one of the six mésorégions of the State of the Pará. It is formed by the meeting of forty-nine municipalities gathered into five microrégions. It has a surface of 83.074,047 km ² for a population of 1.664.761 inhabitants ( IBGE 2006 ). Its IDH is of 0,663 (UNDP/2000). It makes border with the Guyana and the Surinam.
