the Night of the generals ( The Night off the Generals ) is a Franco-British film carried out by Anatole Litvak, left the January 29th 1967, adapted novel éponyme of Hans Hellmut Kirst.

Synopsis

All starts with the murder of a prostitute, in 1942, in the ruins of Warsaw. The sadistic killer would be a German general. Decided well to find the culprit, major Grau, chief of the military police force and secretly anti-nazi, the choice between three suspects has: the general ordering the place, his chief of staff, and faithful of Fürher, charged to finish some with Polish resistance, the Tanz general.
