The New York Amsterdam News
The New York Amsterdam News is a Hebdomadaire of the community Afro-American of New York. It was founded the December 4th 1909 by James Henry Anderson in the district of Harlem. With its apogee in the Years 1940, it drew with 100.000 specimens and was then one of the high circulation figures of the press Afro-American. It published, inter alia, the chronicles of W.E.B. Dubois, Roy Wilkins, Adam Clayton Powell Jr. and Malcolm X, foncamentaux actors of the Movement of the civic rights. Its current editor is Elinor Tatum.
