The Needs

The Needs is a French group formed at the beginning of the Années 1990 in the area of Aix-en-Provence and Marseilles by musicians influenced by the spirit Rock American garage and the Rock psychedelic with in particular several resumptions of the 13th Floor Elevators.

Followed by the producer Henri Gauby, the group also profited from the sponsorship of Lucas Trouble (keyboards of the Vietnam Veterans) for several their albums as of a contribution of Steve Wynn (Dream Syndicate) in the form of a composition ( Smooth on the album As the wreck knows the waves… ).

After three albums charged with garage spirit, Dyin' one blue pebbles , Ace the wreck knows the waves… , Hatemarket and several contributions to compilations, the group gradually ceased its activity in second half of years 1990 before reforming in 2004 for a concert in Marseilles in homage birthday to their producer and inspiring Henri Gauby, deceased in November 2003.

Following this service on the scene of the " Post in Galène" the members of the group decided to start again their musical activity in 2005 with several concerts.

A new album " Songs from the grave" recorded to the original garages sources, in the Kaiser studios with Châlon-sur-Saône, cave of the producer Lucas Trouble left to the end of the year 2006.
