The Nave
The Finance company the Nave is a Coopérative of interdependent Finances, it is largely inspired by the social thought Anthroposophique. Since its creation in 1988, she carries on a double activity of collection of saving and credit within the framework of an approval of the Banque de France.
The first president of the Nave was Henri Nouyrit, peasant and co-operative leader.
Saving collected on deposit accounts in the long term or accounts - currents is deposited by private individuals, associations and companies. The Nave not having yet approval as an banking institution, accounts - Nef currents are lodged, within the framework of a partnership, by the co-operative Crédit, member of the group Banque Populaire.
The financings granted by the finance company of the Nave make it possible to support the creation and the development of community activities and associative at ends of social and environmental utility.
In 2007, more than 18.000 members deposited their saving or subscribes a loan near the Nave whose head office is with Villeurbanne (the Rhone, Région the Rhone-Alps). During its creation, it was installed with Bourbon-the Archambault (Allier, Auvergne).
The Nave is member of the European Federation of the Ethical and Alternate Banks (FEBEA) and of the International association of the investors in social economy (INAISE), both based with Brussels (Belgium).
