the Narrow part is a coastal Village Canadian located in the area of the acadian Péninsule and county of Gloucester, in the North-East of the New Brunswick.

Geography

The Narrow part is located in the Plaine of Shippagan, at the edge of the Golfe the St. Lawrence. The littoral is composed of coastal Marais and a Plage. The village is bordered in north by the lake of the Narrow part and in the North-East by the harbor of Shippagan.

The Narrow part is bordering on the parish of Shippagan. The village forms of it officially part, even if it is not included there for ends of census.

History

The first European families of origin to beings established were Mallet, Duguay and Roussel. Then Elward, Chiasson, Goupil, Plantain and Mailloux came.

The village was called in the beginning New Jerusalem Settlement . Then, it took the name Shippagan Gully to become Shippegan Gully and finally the Narrow part , in 1961.

The Community room was built in 1980 and the built-in village on May 12th, 1986.
