The Nantes one

Gymnastic club of of the town of Nantes . Since 1883, the Nantes form of the high level gymnastes, also proposing a practice leisure of the gymnastics. The Nantes one makes party of the large national clubs in which great champions evolved/moved. It is a club which takes an active part in the life of the FFGym by organizing great events such as the championships of France. With the total classification of the FFGym , the Nantes one occupies the very first places.

Georges Guelzec (in the Olympic Games of Munich 1972 takes part)
Patrick Boutet (in the Olympic Games of Montreal 1976 takes part)
Fabrice Guelzec (Champion of France in 1992. The same year, it takes part in the Olympic Games of Barcelona )

Important dates

1878: The first creation but it is only one false start.
1883: The Nantes one is born finally for good.
1945: The gymnastics becomes the only activity of the club after the war. A female section is created.
1980: Creation of section GRS.
1983: The Nantes one organizes a France/USA meeting for its centenary.
1993: The Nantes one is the first club of French gym (more than 600 bachelors and 50 trainers). Also the first club with the FFGym classification.
2003: Organization of the meeting France/China for the 120ans of the club.
