The Mould
the Mould is a common French, located in the department of the Guadeloupe. The inhabitants are called the Mouliens .
Geography
The commune holds its name of the mole which means thrown. It is located in the middle of the west coast of the Large-Ground.
History
The Mould accommodated the residences of the colonial aristocracy at the beginning of the 18th century. It underwent many fires, earthquakes and cyclone.

The Mould shelters the only port of the Atlantic coast and last distilling, Damoiseau , and machines sugar, Gardel , of Large-Ground. One also finds there the thermo plant of the Mould which produces 27% of the electrical energy delivered to the Guadeloupe.
It is a Seaside resort famous for its waves and the practice of surfing. It has acueilli thus the championships of the world of Wave-ski in 2003.
