The Media Wars 2066-2068
The album the Media Wars 2066-2068 is the second disc of the collective General Dub published in 2003 on the label Expressillon.
Description
This new Album-concept of General Dub follows exactly same apocalyptic logic as the album preceding ( to see ) by exploring the years 2066 to 2068. Thus following the 24 years of wars, in fact the media are now in a fight in order to handle the survivors with the assistance or against the political powers and religious.
Here, the members of the collective chose to announce the birth of events similar to us to both wars of the Gulf and this with the idea to denounce the abjection of the media campaigns carried out in the world (CNN, Al Jazeera, Libération…). Faithful to their principles, all is transposed in an imaginary future.
Once again built like a original soundtrack of film the Dub of the " General" evoke the science fiction with a very complex scenario. The voices are omnipresent and in all the languages, Samples extracted from films and flash-information of Propagande. The sound dub more experimental, with rhythmic is thus appuiée there and low crushing on an electronic mixing constant. Near to the experiments of the Electro-undue money the album admits notes of Breakbeat or Metal and passages in extreme cases of the Hartek.
With the Media Wars 2066-2068 the collective had put on line a Internet site with a virtual presentation of the world and a Prophétie, messages or explanations on the various battles. The site has been for a few years " écrasé" by an American commercial gate. to voir here
