The Mask and Mirror
The Mask and Mirror is the fifth album of Loreena McKennitt, left in 1994.
The Mask and Mirror follows the formula inaugurated in The Visit and which will be still included in The Book off Secret : the instrumental ones and songs inspired by the musics of the world, which follow one another by respecting more or less an alternation alleviated pieces rythmées/pieces. The opening of the album starts slowly before igniting, while the conclusion leaves méditatif and dreamer. The percussions are clearer here than in the preceding albums of Loreena McKennitt. One is not far from finding the Eastern environment of certain pieces of the end of a career of Dead Can Dance.
