The Man of the lost valleys
the man of the lost valleys is an American film of George Stevens left in 1953 and based on the Romance of the American writer Jack Schaefer. Titrate original: Shane . This Western Mythique evokes the life of the Cowboy S and the Fermier S at the time of the Far West.
Synopsis
In summer 1889, a solitary cowboy (old hunter of premium), Shane (Alan Ladd) arrives in a small valley of Wyoming. It makes halt in a farm where saw peacefully the Starret  family;: Joe (Van Heflin), Marian, his wife (Jean Arthur) and their 10 year old son Joey (Torch of Wilde). Marian is attracted by the mysterious charm of the newcomer; as for the Joey young person, it quite simply is subjugated and fascinated by this very skilful man with the gun and which it venerates like a hero. Initially, Shane will help the Starret family for work of the farm. Then, Shane will lend strong hand to the farmers of the vicinity in their fight against the peg ladders directed by Ryker (Emile Meyer). Ryker already made kill a farmer by using the services of the hired killer Jack Wilson (Palance Jack). The goal of Ryker was to seize the grounds of the farmers. Seeing that, Joe Starret decides to face only Wilson Jack. But Shane succeeds in convincing Joe not to face Wilson in duel.

- the film is a Archétype western with a Héros Solitaire. No one does not know from which this hero (Shane) comes, no one does not know where it goes. It saves the widow and the orphan without any condition. This role is in that comparable with that of Paul Newman in Hombre . the Man of the lost valleys is a film worship which received the Oscar 1954 of the better photography.
- Clint Eastwood made a remake in 1985 of them: Blade To wrinkle .
